everis foundation launches the Spanish call for the 20th edition of its Entrepreneurship eAwards. This awards look for projects based on high-impact technologies, innovative, scalable, sustainable that contribute to improving the quality of life and/or solve environmental problems through digital business models and/or the intensive use of technology.
Interested entrepreneurs can submit their applications to the eAwards Spain at globaleawards.com until 21 June. Once the registration period has closed, the analysis phase of the proposals received will begin in order to choose the semi-finalists, who will present their projects to a jury of experts who will decide which projects will go on to the next phase. After their selection, the final of the eAwards Spain 2021 will be held to choose the winner, who will receive €20,000, access to a specialised acceleration programme and a pass to the international final of the Global eAwards.
Global eAwards - 20th edition
Throughout 2021, the eAwards will be looking for technology projects in 11 countries in Europe and Latin America: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Peru, Portugal and the United Kingdom. The best initiative will represent its country in the international final of the Global eAwards.
In the final, the Spanish entrepreneur will compete for €60,000 and an additional acceleration programme with the winners of the various national eAwards competitions in Latin America and Europe. The award will be presented as part of the e-talent week, a conference organised by everis foundation dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and networking among the entire innovation ecosystem of the Foundation through seminars, conferences, one-to-one meetings and round tables, among others.
National and international prestige
Formerly called "everis Awards", the eAwards retain their objective and a national and international prestige that places them as major benchmarks of entrepreneurship and technological innovation worldwide.
"The eAwards maintain the spirit and objectives of the 19 previous editions of the everis Entrepreneurship Awards," explains Karla Alarcón, Managing Director of everis foundation, "and, at the same time, respond to the great challenges set by COVID-19. Entrepreneurs play a fundamental role, we believe in them and we are confident that their proposals can be the impetus for economic and social recovery through technology".
During these 20 years of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, everis foundation has received and supported more than 7,800 projects from all over the world. In the last Spanish edition, highly innovative initiatives were received, such as INNOVATING ALIMENTARY MACHINES, aimed at controlling food waste and the abuse of chemical substances for preservation; IDOVEN, for the early detection of heart problems and the prevention of diseases such as myocardial infarction or sudden death; LIMNO PHARMA, focused on the treatment of Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), a rare disease that affects almost two million people in the world and for which there is a treatment for only 5% of patients; GATACA, an identity layer for the Internet that offers digital authentication processes with government security level; or RECIRCULAR, a system to identify valorisation possibilities for more than 5000 tons of complex waste that end up in landfills or incinerated.
