The everis foundation, aware of the need to contribute to the gender gap reduction, created PÚLSAR, a program aimed at teenage girls with high potential who, for different reasons, are limited in achieving their goals.
Púlsar is an individualised mentoring program where women who are leaders in different fields act as professional role models, so, as a team, the girls can discover and/or enhance their talent and continue their training itinerary (higher education) hand in hand with technology.
According to the PISA report, girls perform worse than boys in mathematics and science due to lack of self-confidence. And 10% more girls than boys are not prepared for the world of work. These figures are worse in the most disadvantaged social strata.
The involvement of parents, guardians and educational institutions is crucial for girls to develop their full potential.
In order to scale this project and facilitate its expansion, everis foundation has made a free MOOC (Massive Online Open Courses) with all the methodology and best practices of the Program, so that any person, institution, NGO, educational centre, in any country, can teach it with adolescents from their closest environment.
